HAPPY HOLIDAY HOMES

Louise and her husband Mel own and operate Happy Holiday Homes and made every effort to make our stay pleasant. They met us at the airport at 11:30 at night the first trip and had made the arrangements for a rental car - much to our relief after hearing the stories of friends spending two hours getting a car at the airport.

When we arrived at our bungalow they, as promised, had cold beer in the refrigerator, and they had laid in a basic supply of food so we had coffee and breakfast things at hand the next morning.

On our second visit everything was just as immaculate as it was the first time. These are very modern and very well maintained units.

This time Mel introduced us to the iguanas which live behind the complex.

The bungalows are every bit as nice as they sound on the home page. Of special note:
  • 10 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes or less to the airport
  • 5 minutes to the nearest beaches (by car) - and very good snorkeling. Windsock and Bachelor's Beach are right around the corner.
  • The best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental - everything one would expect as well as things like a juicer, true heavy-duty stainless steel cook ware, numerous serving bowls and ice already made in the refrigerator. The knives could have been sharper but I always travel with a sharp chopping knife anyway.
  • A nice private patio for each unit
  • Very clean
  • The buildings are fairly new
  • Nice furniture in the unit
